Chandeliers are also known as suspension or chain-hung fixtures. Like ceiling fixtures, chandeliers are also hung from the ceiling. However, they require more space in addition to adding more pizzazz compared to regular ceiling fixtures. They provide general lighting and have at least two arms with down-lights or up-lights. They are most often used with formal dining rooms or dining tables.
Decorative Ceiling Lights: These are the lights, which add style quotient to the room, where they get installed. Available widely in varied shapes and sizes, these can be used for accessorizing your rooms.
Single Glass Pendant Lights: These ceiling can be aptly used for dining rooms as they can be hung at low heights, which embellish the décor of your dining room greatly. More so, the look is fabulous and this soft lighting makes the ambience of the dining room appropriately soothing for taking meals. The single glass pendant lights are available in different styles & sizes, you can choose from flat, sleek or round lights.
You’ll want to consider your décor and the overall style of your home and go from there. Try to choose similar or complementary colors, or go big and bold with a pendant light that provides an interesting contrast to the room. Large, single pendant lights can make a statement, but don’t overlook smaller options as these can be just as bold when grouped together. If you do decide to go with a set of hanging lights, remember the “Rule of Three”, which will help you maintain a rhythmic balance. Whatever you do, make sure your pendant lighting doesn’t create a visual barrier in the room.
